Hello friends,
Welcome to the first-ever issue of HackNuggets!
In the beginning, I’d really appreciate feedback, so after finishing, just hit reply and tell me what you think!
Today I’ll share an idea, an app and an extension to help you have a productive week despite COVID-19.
An Idea: The 2-minute rule.

This might seem obvious, but fellow procrastinators, it isn’t.
“If it takes under 2 minutes to get it done, do it NOW”
Most of us don’t do that, it’s LIFE CHANGING.
Here’s an addition that led to the most productive era of my life:
“If you want to start a new habit, it should take less than 2 minutes to do.”
How to apply?: Turn your goal from “Read before bed each night” into “Read one page.”
Personal story: My 30-kilos weight-loss journey started -more about that next issues- by allocating 2 minutes daily to log my food, read it, and take 1 decision to improve the next day. (Instead of a 2-toasts sandwich, moved to 1-toast which led to easily cutting 7 toasts/week).
The science?: It’s called the path of least resistance. Committing to a habit that is so simple you can’t rationalize procrastinating it. Once you get going, you will be reading a book a week before you know it.

An App: Krisp.ai
Ever had an awkward situation in an online meeting because of background noises? (kids, street sellers, ring any bells?)
Krisp is a noise cancellation app that works with most meetings tools and magically removes background noise in real-time.

Bonus: Use a company email and get a month pro. Need convincing it works? Check this live review.
An extension: Toby for Chrome
My favorite. Toby is the ultimate bookmarks organizer, session manager and decluttering tool. You can create named/tagged bookmarks collections, save a session with a click and sync across machines. It transformed my productivity. Download now.
Not sure how to use it or want more convincing?
Check this article, or 30-sec video.

That’s all for our first issue. Drop me a line!
Till next time,
Nour Eldin.
